"I have a good contract for the 2017 and 2018 seasons because of my high market value (when signing last year's contract)," Lorenzo said quoting Motorsport.com on Tuesday (16/1/2017).
"Many riders talk about it, but when I signed that contract, I have five world champions, I won more than 60 wins, 44 in MotoGP and many pole positions, I fought nine years to win the world title, so I won the contract "said Lorenzo.
However, Lorenzo said, if the selling price in the market is also based on the last performance he lived. This is what makes him hit, because of poor performance that dilakoninya in 2017.
"This time clearly they say your score reflects the performance of your last race, my last race was down, so now it's not very high (market value) and my last season was not so good," Lorenzo said.
Lorenzo admitted he would never stop adapting, although felt his bike will be designed more in accordance with the style of riding this season, compared to last year.
"You never stop learning and I never stop changing my riding style, even when I'm at Yamaha in the eighth or ninth year," Lorenzo said.
"Surely last year I changed a lot, I learned a lot, to drive a Ducati to the best point, but it's never complete, maybe this year will be the opposite," said Lorenzo.
"The Desmosedici will be upgraded to follow me, faster of course, not only in acceleration, not just on the straight track, not just in braking, but also in the middle of the bend," said Lorenzo
